Emergency First Aid at Work

Why

Every employer must provide or ensure that is provided the neccesary number of First Aiders in the work place according to the law or the risk assessment.

Course Aim

To train and qualify the delegates in Emergency First Aid knowledge in order to become accordance to the Law on Health and Safety in the workplace (Law of 2009 - Κ.Δ.Π 198/2009).

Our Instructors

Our First Aid Instructors are also Emergency Medical Technicians and have the experience and required knowledge to train you with the internationally approved training program of EMP Medic First Aid. The certication you will receive is recognized not only in Cyprus but also abroad. The Instructors have trained doctors, volunteers and professional rescuers, ambulance personnel, and civilians in rst aid. Our training materials including manuals and training videos are in both Greek and English to satisfy all candidates.

About the Program

Our organization is the First to be approved in Cyprus from the Ministry of Labour as a Provider in First Aid at Work courses. Our approval number is: TEE (21.01.6.3.3-1)

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is fully approved and in full compliance with the current legislation laid down by the Health and Safety Executive and according to the ERC Guidelines. Our company is full approved from the World Safety Organization and is an active participant of international committee of ILCOR.

Assessment Certification

All delegates after being assessed and having successfully completed the course will be awarded an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate which is according to the law.

Course Content

Understanding the current legislation on First Aid
Understanding the role of the first aider
Understanding the use of the first aid equipment that are available in the work place
Understanding the basic principles on personal hygiene and protection during the process of giving aid in the work place
Describing and recording the incident
Providing safe, fast and efective methods following rules of safe approach and procedures in the following cases:

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - basic knowledge
Chocking - adults, infants
Heart Attack
Unconscious victims (including epileptic seizures)
Bleeding Management
Small cuts & wounds
Recovery Position
Introduction to the AED
Ongoing assessment and care
