Register your AED ( August 2011 )
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus is ready to accept your registration forms that will comply with the current Legislation regarding the placement of the AED (Automated External Deffibrilators) and the CPR & AED Training Course. It is compalsory for all organizations that currently have an AED to fill in the "AED Placement Form" and send it to the Ministry of Health. This way, the Ministry will be able to have statistical data of the number of devices placed all over Cyprus and monitor the situation. Please download and print the bellow forms:

New Guidelines on CPR ( October 2010)
On October 18th 2010, the new cardiopulmonary resuscitation guidelines where posted from the European Resuscitation Council. These new guidelines that will cover the period 2011 - 2015 emphasize the importance of chest compressions to a non-breathing patient. The new ERC Guidelines clearly recommend using AEDs because early defibrillation, in addition to chest compressions, may save the lives of many SCA victims.
Some important changes have influence our training on child and infant CPR, the depth of the compression and the importance chest compressions.
Approval from Ministry of Labor ( July 2010)
Our organization is the first to be approved from the ministry of labor, under the department of Labor Inspections with certification number TEE (21.01.6.3.3-1). The department of Labor Inspections also approved the two training courses "Emergency First Aid at Work" and "First Aid at Work" that companies and individuals can attend to. These courses are now subsidized by the HRDA.

John Zenios EMP MFA Master Trainer with Christopher Zenios an MFA Instructor Trainer attended the conference of Medic First Aid. The name of the conference is connecting the dots. Experience, knowledge and skills on good training techniques, updated information on first aid issues, tips on upcoming guidelines, where only some of the "items" brought back.
